Maharashtra: Dumper rams into bike injuring two in Thane

THANE: A biker and pillion rider suffered major and minor injuries respectively after a dumper rammed into them near Upvan on Thursday morning.
The Chitalsar police stated that the dumper was heading towards Pokhran road, descending the slope while the motorcycle that was heading towards Hiranandani Meadows from Birsa Munda chowk collided into each other, at the junction.

It is learnt that while the biker Mihilal Bind (40) suffered major injuries on both his legs, the pillion Dinesh Bind(22) suffered minor injuries on his body, the duo are said to be relatives. Both were rushed to a private hospital nearby by locals who were on the spot.
The Chitalsar police who were informed about the incident immediately reached the spot and arrested Manto Yadav, the driver of the truck for rash driving and under various sections of the motor vehicle act.
The vehicles were removed immediately from the spot by the traffic police so that there is no obstruction to traffic.
